ABOUT THE ARTIST

Melinda VanKirk

I am originally from Worthington, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. I am now located in nearby Hilliard, where I reside with my husband, youngest stepson, and my two fur babies - Lola and Weezie.  

My love for animals and for art is something that has existed throughout my lifetime.  This passion I have for creativity can be found throughout my life and career.

As a Yoga teacher, former High School Art Teacher, and Technical Designer in the fashion industry, my love of art has persisted no matter what career path I have taken.  I am a graduate and 2009 Valedictorian of Columbus College of Art and Design.  I also hold a BA from the Ohio State University in Art Education.  Despite my various career paths, my true artistic passion lies in creating drawings and paintings that bring others heartfelt joy.  Please contact me if you are interested in my work and would like more information regarding purchasing a custom portrait, or a print of an existing portrait.
